Terms of Service โ€” Check to Ride

Version 1.0 โ€” Effective October 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Ryan A. Davis, doing business as Check to Ride, the operator of checktoride.com ("Check to Ride," the "Service," "we," or "us"), located at 2100 East Panorama Drive, Unit 210, Signal Hill, CA 90755. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Service's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service Does

Check to Ride reviews the pilot documents you upload โ€” logbooks, endorsements, and aircraft maintenance records โ€” against the requirements for the checkride type you select, and gives you a report listing items that need correction, items that need review, and items that meet the requirements. Your uploads are reviewed with the help of an artificial intelligence service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. The Eligibility Check Is Advisory Only โ€” Read This Carefully

The eligibility check is an advisory review of the documents you provide. It is not a guarantee that you are eligible for any checkride. It is not a determination by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and it is not a promise of any outcome at a practical test.

The examiner's determination on the day of your test controls. An examiner may find problems that a document review did not identify, may read a requirement differently, or may reach a different conclusion on the same documents.

You remain solely responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements for your checkride, whether or not the report identified an issue.

The report's accuracy depends entirely on what you upload. Results are limited by the completeness, accuracy, and legibility of the documents you provide. Missing pages, unreadable images, and records you did not upload cannot be reviewed and can cause the report to miss problems that exist.

3. What Your Purchase Includes

The purchase price (currently $30) includes two runs of the same check: an initial eligibility check for one selected checkride type, and one additional run of that same check, so you can correct your documents and have them reviewed again. The two runs apply to the same check and the same account and are not transferable to a different checkride type or a different person. Except where the Service fails to deliver a report at all, fees for checks that have been performed are not refundable.

4. Your Account and Your Uploads

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's content, design, text, and software belong to Check to Ride or its licensors and are protected by law. Your report is provided for your own use in preparing for your checkride.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a report will identify every problem in your documents. Section 2 states the limits of the report; no employee, webpage, or advertisement changes those limits.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Check to Ride's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid to Check to Ride in the twelve months before the claim arose (or one hundred dollars if you paid nothing). In no event will Check to Ride be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages โ€” including the cost of a rescheduled, delayed, or unsuccessful checkride.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, submit false or altered documents, or misuse the Service. You may close your account through the Contact us form on the home page. Unused second runs are not refundable on termination for a violation of these Terms. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the updated version on the Service and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
