Version 1.0 โ€” Effective October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information checktoride.com ("Check to Ride," the "Service," "we," or "us") collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Check to Ride is operated by Ryan A. Davis, doing business as Check to Ride, 2100 East Panorama Drive, Unit 210, Signal Hill, CA 90755.

If you have questions about this policy or your information, contact us through the Contact us form on the home page.

1. What Check to Ride Does

Check to Ride is an online service that reviews pilot documents before a checkride. You create an account, choose a checkride type, upload photos or scans of your logbooks, endorsements, and aircraft maintenance records, pay a fee, and receive a report listing items that need correction, items that need review, and items that meet the applicable requirements.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a password. Passwords are stored only in hashed (scrambled) form โ€” we never store your password in readable text.

Uploaded documents. To perform a check, we collect the photos, scans, and documents you upload, which may include logbook pages, pilot endorsements, and aircraft maintenance records, together with the checkride type and other details you select for the check.

Reports. We store the report generated for each check, connected to your account.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number and payment details go directly to Stripe and never touch or are stored on our servers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details (such as the amount and the last digits of a card) from Stripe.

Automatic information. Like most websites, the Service may collect basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device information, and IP address, used to operate and secure the Service.

Cookies. The Service uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. AI Processing of Your Uploads โ€” Please Read

Your uploaded documents are reviewed with the help of an artificial intelligence service. Check to Ride transmits your uploads and the details of your check to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI service, which processes them as part of generating your report. Anthropic processes this information as our service provider under its commercial terms, which do not permit it to use your information to train its AI models. The results of that processing are used to produce the itemized report delivered to your account.

This AI processing is a core part of how the Service works. By creating an account and submitting documents for a check, you understand and agree that your uploads will be processed in this way. If you do not agree to AI processing of your documents, do not use the Service.

You may request deletion of your information through the Contact us form on the home page. We will honor deletion requests except where a record must be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business record-keeping purposes; we will tell you if an exception applies to your request.

The Service does not track you across other websites over time, and we do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities across other websites through the Service.
